Professional Certification
In addition to being a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Charlie is also a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP), making him one of less than 3% of all photographic professionals who have successfully completed and maintained the PPA requirements.
The Professional Photographers of America is the world's leading certification agency and largest association for photographic professionals. PPA Certification requires applicants to pass a stringent and comprehensive written examination measuring technical expertise. It also requires submission of a portfolio of work to a panel of nationally renown judges for review. Once an applicant is awarded certification they must renew their credentials every five years by participating in continuing education programs and periodically submitting work for critical evaluation. This insures that PPA Certified photographers maintain their expertise and continue to develop new skills and techniques. Like may other professional organizations the PPA also requires its members to uphold a high standard of ethical professional conduct. Charlie is also a member of the Professional Photographers of California (PPC). Charlie and Bev are both active in the local professional organization, the Professional Photographers of Orange County (PPOC).
